Our handmade wines are produced in Aubais, a medieval Languedocian village in the Gard, in between Nîmes and Montpellier.

We have worked the land organically since 2002, and we introduced biodynamic practises in 2019.

At the domaine, which is housed in an old cooperative building, we regularly hold dance and music events, and private functions.

What does Aubai Mema mean?

« Back when the villagers spoke Provençal, they were proud to say that they were from Aubais itself, ‘d’Aubaï méma’, rather than simply the general area, and in 2002, I adopted the expression for my new domaine with equal pride. »

Our Organic Wines

HandMade wines

My aim is to create real ‘vins de terroir’ that explore what each grape variety can express in terms of fruit imprinted with the character of their surroundings, a terroir of limestone and clay based on rock formations dating back 93 million years.

Shielded from the worst of the weather by wooded hills and garrigue, the 50 year old carignan and grenache vines, and more recently plan ted syrah, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and viognier, have been cultivated organically from the outset. Real Wine, Nature’s Way… from Aubais itself!”

Wine Tasting

The more natural a wine, the more it is in tune with nature, even in bottle. If you don ‘t believe me try a Lunatico on a fruit day and on a root day according to the planetary calendar. Not convinced?
